“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is wasted.” – Aesop
We probably all wish we could do more. Volunteer work, donations to charity, offering a helping hand. But maybe there isn’t much extra in the budget, not enough time in the day, or just no opportunity when there is time.
But don’t let that stop you. No act of kindness is wasted, not even the small ones. Don’t be put off because you can only offer a few dollars to a cause instead of hundreds. You don’t need to volunteer 10 hours a week for it to matter. Give an hour or two on the weekends. No opportunities? Prepare for one ahead of time. My family carries gallon sized Ziploc bags in our cars that we have prepacked with necessities to hand out to the homeless we often see at intersections and off ramps.
Start small and know that your efforts are not wasted just because they aren’t on a grand scale. Things as simple as letting a harried mom cut you on the grocery store check out line or holding the door for a paper juggling coworker matter. They seem small to you but may mean the world to the person on the receiving end.
Have a blessed Monday!
