Are you experiencing anxiety today? Bring your worries to God and allow Him to calm your fears and soothe your soul…
“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” (Psalm 94:19)
There’s no shortage of things to worry about in this world. We can worry on a large scale about the state of our planet and nature, as well as political instability and strife. Or we can tune in to the anxiety at home, from financial woes to health issues, to insecurities about our child-rearing and marriage.
It’s no trouble at all to get so focused on these worries that they begin to take up a lot of real estate in our heads. They color our emotions, affect our relationships, even hurt our health.
The problem with anxiety is that it’s a faceless enemy that’s difficult to defeat. Once one worry is vanquished, another shortly pops up to take its place. And many of our worries are not something we can control, making them even more upsetting.
So how do you find peace when anxiety is running high? We seek comfort from the One who controls all things.
Gaining peace from God
When we have no control over the situation or our own thoughts, we need to turn to God. Only He can bring us the peace we desperately need from the worries that plague us and the brokenness of the world.
We know that He has promised to keep us from harm and plans to give us hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We know that He has overcome the world (John 16:33). We know that God is with us, so we must be strong and courageous (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We have all these promises to hold tight to when our anxiety gets the best of us. So bring your worries to God. Unload the weight that you have been carrying in a heartfelt prayer. Allow His peace to cover you, giving you solace and comfort from what ails this world.
I have struggled with anxiety for years. But I find that there is nothing more effective in calming my racing mind and heart than taking a quiet moment to myself to ask for God’s help. He is always there listening, waiting for the children He loves to come to Him.
Won’t you bring your fears to God today? Won’t you take the peace that He so graciously offers us?
Have a blessed Monday!

Anxiety is something I have to be mindful to keep at bay because if I don’t, I can quickly spiral. I like how you call it a faceless enemy because that is so true. Thank you for this super encouraging and edifying post. Really spoke to me today. Blessings sweet sister … 🙏💕
