If God is for us, then what more could we want?
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:31-32)
There is no enemy stronger than Him. No battle that could defeat Him. There is no spiteful critic that can withstand Him.
No disease He can’t heal, no financial woe He can’t alleviate, and no sadness He can’t soothe.
God gave us His own Son to save us. What more proof do we need that He will give us everything we need?
God is enough
This verse reminds me of the loving advocate that we have on our side. For all of His power, each one of us is important to Him. No one is forgotten.
But just as He cares for us deeply, He also has plans for us. And things that we hope for may not come to pass when we want, but only when the time is right.
Waiting is hard, but it is cornerstone of faith. So, when the disease still remains, the bills pile up, and the hurts still come, we need to remember that it isn’t because God isn’t listening, isn’t caring, or isn’t able to help.
We can’t fathom the plans God has for each and every one of us, so we need to rely on faith.
Things change in this world all the time. But God never changes. He is who He is—yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
And if you can trust that God is good, believe that He is enough, then you can weather any storm this world places before you.
With God beside you, what more could you want?
